The course is for anyone aged 19 and above who is interested in learning more about how to care for small pet animals. This is an introduction to the basics of animal husbandry and will provide a taster for those interested in applying for the part-time Practical Small Animal Care Skills Level 2 Award.
This course is 50:50 theory to practical and will involve working with a range of small pet animals and carrying out a range of practical husbandry skills.
This is a tailored learning taster course, so no qualification or no formal assessments
There are no formal entry requirements for this course.
You need to have a commitment to attend and complete the 8-week programme, and a willingness to work with a range of small pet animals and carry out a range of practical husbandry skills.
This course costs £48.00, including exam fees.
You may be eligible for free study if you are 23 or under and this is your first full Level 2 or 3 course. Alternatively, if you are unemployed, receiving an eligible benefit, and taking the course to help you find employment.
