This qualification covers the skills and knowledge needed to use lean organisation and business improvement techniques in business and to work effectively in a team.

The course will be fully delivered through distance learning – therefore there is no attendance required in the classroom.

PLEASE NOTE: To complete a Distance Learning course you must be aged over 19.

Course Overview

You will be allocated an assessor who will guide, mentor and support you through the qualification.

The course consists of the following units:

Unit 1: Lean organisation techniques in business

  • The features of a lean environment

  • Performing a productivity needs analysis

  • Devising a map of a process

Unit 2: Business improvement techniques

  • Using visual indicators to make improvements to the work environment

  • Eliminating variance from workplace processes

  • The principles underpinning organisation of a business environment

  • The principles of the Kaizen strategy

Unit 3: Effective team work in business

  • The features of an effective team

  • Working effectively within a team

  • What is required of a team leader

Course Fees

This course costs FREE, including exam fees.

You may be eligible for free study if you are 23 or under and this is your first full Level 2 or 3 course. Alternatively, if you are unemployed, receiving an eligible benefit, and taking the course to help you find employment.
