Foundation Education at LMC
Foundation Education offers you the opportunity to sample a range of vocational areas to help find the right one for you. The courses we offer will help you progress into other areas of College, training or employment and give you the skills and confidence to gain relevant qualifications. All courses include work experience or working in real work environments within the College and you will also get the chance to take part in enterprise and fund raising activities throughout the year. This could be your opportunity to progress into the career you want.

Where does it lead?
Foundation Education aims to provide you with a positive start into full time study within the College. Here at LMC, we believe that offering you the right support network and variety of options will motivate and inspire you to achieve. We want you to feel confident and excited about starting full time study with us, which is why we have created Aspire to, Path to and Bridge to. Students have progressed to traineeships, apprenticeships, supported employment or further study.
“Coming to Lancaster & Morecambe College is hands down in the top 5 decisions I’ve made in my life. I feel happier, safer, more confident and able to succeed. The tutors and staff are amazing and are ready to talk to you about anything you need at the drop of a hat. College is a safe and accepting place where I can be myself and not worry about it. Never once have I had a problem. I am excited to continue onto a higher level course in September, and I can honestly say College is my favourite place to be.”
