Public ServicesPublic Services at LMC

When you begin your Public Services course, you will be provided with a wide range of experiences that demonstrate the scale and diversity of the Services. All our students are provided with the opportunity to meet and engage with a wide range of services and explore what it would be like to work in this exciting sector. Our courses are delivered by highly qualified industry specialist tutors with knowledge across all key areas of the Public Services and its supporting infrastructure.

Jayne Roper, Head of Public Services

Weekly outdoor education sessions expand the leadership skills of students.

Where does it lead?

Past students have gone on to university to study various Public Services, Politics, Criminology and Policing degrees, as well as our own higher education programme. Career options include Policing, Customs and Excise, Fire Brigade, Army, Merchant Navy, Royal Marines, Paramedics, Royal Navy, Air Force and Local Authorities. Last year’s students went on to work in the Military Police, Merchant Navy, Ambulance Service, Army and Police.

“I’m going on to the HND in Public Services at College in September. The career I have in mind is the Police force and the HND will open more doors for me and give me the opportunity to pursue my dream. I never saw myself going to university, but now I’m looking forward to completing my HND and doing my top-up at university.”

Amber Cropley, Public Services Level 3
