Supported Internship Open Evening

What is it?

In September 2022, we welcomed our first cohort of interns onto our Supported Internship. This innovative course gives young people (18-24) with an Education, Health & Care Plan (EHCP) the opportunity to transition from education into employment, by offering a range of supported work placements at the RLI in Lancaster.

Alongside the work experience, learners take part in employability training sessions and develop independence and life skills.

• Full-time supported internship
• Three 10-week rotations across the Hospital
• Employability curriculum delivered from the workplace
• Combination of tutors and trained job coach support
• Real-Work environment away from the College
