Supported Internship Open Evening

What is it?

In September 2022, we welcomed our first cohort of interns onto our Supported Internship. This innovative course gives young people (18-24) with an Education, Health & Care Plan (EHCP) the opportunity to transition from education into employment, by offering a range of supported work placements at the RLI in Lancaster.

Alongside the work experience, learners take part in employability training sessions and develop independence and life skills.

• Full-time supported internship
• Three 10-week rotations across the Hospital
• Employability curriculum delivered from the workplace
• Combination of tutors and trained job coach support
• Real-Work environment away from the College

When is it?

28th March 2024: 4:00pm - 7:00pm

Session 1 - 4pm - 5pm
Refreshments - 5pm - 6pm
Session 2 - 6pm - 7pm

We are open for Session 1 from 4pm to 5pm, a drop in session with refreshments from 5pm - 6pm and then Session 2 runs from 6pm - 7pm. Each session will see talks from our Supported Internship Lead and the NHS as well as chance to ask questions and talk to our Work-Based Skills Lead Coordinator.
