LMC pan-ability football team plays in AoC National Finals

Posted: 26.04.2022

Students from LMC joined pan-ability football teams from colleges across the country, as they competed to become national champions in the Association of Colleges Pan-Ability Finals last week.

The two-day event was held in Nottingham, with all students able to enjoy the top-class training facilities during their eight games over the sunny weekend.

Alongside LMC, other competing teams include Shipley College, Suffolk New College, Walsall College, Cardiff and Vale College, Weston College, Chichester College and Loughborough College.

Although the team missed out on the victory spot, it was still an excellent day for LMC, after successfully winning the Northwest Regional Cup in order to qualify for the National Finals.

A member of the LMC team commented:

We all really enjoyed the weekend, playing games against the top colleges in the country, trying new sports and spending time with our team mates. It was a once in a life time experience that we will never forget

Everyone worked hard in every game and the competition was tough, but we all played well as a team and enjoyed every minute

Liam Williams, Pan-Ability Football Team Coach, congratulated the team on their sportsmanship throughout the tournament:

The determination and attitude of the team was second to none and some really great football was played. The students have made Lancaster & Morecambe College very proud.
