29 January 2026, was our Annual Apprenticeship Awards to celebrate the efforts and achievements over the last year of our Apprentices, Advisors, Tutors and local Employers.

Following negotiations between the College's senior leadership and UCU representatives, agreements have been put in place in response to concerns around pay and conditions for teaching staff.

Lancaster & Morecambe College (LMC) features in a national report which highlights the work of the Further Education sector to support healthy outcomes across communities.

We welcomed around 40 guests onto campus last month for the official launch of our fantastic new vocational learning facilities. Employers from the engineering, energy, construction and animal management sectors were invited to tour LMC's innovative Clean Engineering Centre, a range of animal workshops including our dedicated Nocturnal and Aquatic rooms, our fully refurbished Forensic and Science Laboratories and our T Level Learning Zones. 

Lancaster & Morecambe College officially become a SIAS Approved Centre, and will be launching new courses designed to prepare learners with the skills, knowledge and confidence to thrive in industries

Lancaster & Morecambe College (LMC) is proud to have been awarded FE College of Sanctuary (CoS) status, in recognition of the work it does to create a safe, supportive and inclusive learning environment for all of our students. 

Lancaster & Morecambe College (LMC) hosted the Travel & Tourism Lancashire Skills Competition at Lancaster’s Williamson Park. Students from Blackpool and Fylde College, Preston College and Lancaster & Morecambe College competed in a variety of skill-based tasks that enabled them to showcase their talents

Lancaster & Morecambe College (LMC) has received funding from two local charitable trusts to help support young people (16-25) to complete their studies and progress onto further education or employment.

LMC welcomed a team of visitors from the Careers and Enterprise Company (CEC), the national body for careers education, onto campus last week to showcase their aspirational and award-winning careers provision.
