Welcome from the Principal

As we excitedly look forward to the new academic year at LMC we all recognise that we are still living through very unusual and uncertain times, which we all continue to adapt to. Over the summer we have been preparing the campus for the safe return of students in September whilst continuing to innovate in the ways we deliver learning.

As the new term commences all teaching and learning will be tailored to meet the needs of individual groups and students and we will continue to offer fantastic support to help you to achieve your qualifications over the coming year.

Our first priority, as always, is to safeguard the health & wellbeing of our learners, apprentices and staff and we will continue to follow government guidance on how best to adapt the College’s functions to suit the ever-changing response to Covid-19 both nationally and locally. Regardless of this, our expectations of all remain high and our staff teams will continue to stretch and challenge all students and apprentices to be the best they can be in their chosen subjects.

The Safeguarding & Pastoral Team and Learning Support staff will be on hand to support you with your studies and any other issues you may face. We know the impact of the last 18 months has impacted many of us in terms of our mental health and wellbeing. Remember to ask for support if you need it; we are here to help.

So, as we begin the first term of 2021/22, I encourage you to fully engage with your College, your tutors and your learning. We want to ensure that you not only achieve your qualification, but you then progress on to rewarding careers and higher-level studies. We are all keen to see the College vibrant again in September and to welcome our learners back to a safe learning environment. We know that the restrictions required to tackle Covid-19 will continue for an indefinite period, but LMC is fully committed to you and your future through providing safe and high-quality learning
