Lewis initially joined Lancaster & Morecambe College in 2019 after school to study Art & Design, then returned to our Access to HE course in 2025.

I found the transition to College really smooth, especially coming back as an Adult Learner. All the staff were extremely helpful and I knew I had made the right choice.

Lewis chose to come back to LMC in 2025 to reach his goal of going to University and securing a position working in Psychology. The course is designed for adults aged 19+ to gain the qualifications they need to go to university. The course specifically focuses on health topics, including human physiology, sociology, social issues and healthcare.

I chose LMC for my Access to HE course because I was already familiar with the College and I knew the course would allow me to access university and reach my dream career.

As well as learning about key topics in the health industry, students on the Access to HE course also gain the skills they need for university, such as prioritising tasks, Harvard references and revision skills.

During the course, I learnt how to effectively take notes and better manage my time between studying and personal time. Thanks to this course, I was able to secure a spot at the university of my choice.
