A Traineeship is a work based learning programme tailor made around your needs. It offers the chance to undertake quality work experience in an employment sector of your choice for a minimum of 100 hours. As a successful trainee you will have developed the skills and knowledge to apply for an Apprenticeship and be more skilled and confident to apply for jobs.
You will cover maths and English skills, work preparation skills and have a practical work placement.
This course is designed for 16-18 year old and will be delivered as a study programme which includes math and English where applicable and work experience. The course will include a substantial amount of careers related learning designed to support progression to the suitable next step, this could include educational trips, employability skills and employer encounters such as guest speakers.
Further full time study
You need to be motivated to work towards the skills and qualifications to support progression into an Apprenticeship or employment.
You also need good interpersonal skills, to be punctual and reliable and to present yourself professionally in the work place.
