This course is designed for students wishing to gain employment in the Health & Social Care sectors or to progress onto further study at a higher level.
This course will emphasise the development of both academic and practical skills and the associated understanding related to the health and social care sector. The course will provide students with the knowledge and skills for employment in the sector as well as developing personal qualities and attitudes essential for a successful career. It will also include specialist studies relevant to individual professions within the health and social care sector such as sociology, psychology and research skills.
After one year students will gain a level 4 HNC which can be presented to employers or other academic institutions.
This course is designed for Higher Education learners the course will include a substantial amount of careers related learning designed to support progression to the suitable next step, this could include employability skills and employer encounters such as guest speakers.
