Choosing to study Beauty Therapy will give you access to a fantastic range of salon facilities and a team of highly experienced and specialist tutors. Through their extensive knowledge, you will learn how to develop the skills and techniques needed to establish yourself a career in the beauty, make-up or nails industry. As you progress through the qualification levels, you will gain confidence in your skills and knowledge and begin to develop your individual talent as a professional therapist, nail technician or make-up artist.

Previous students have gone on to work for local salons including Steiner Cruises, Ambience and A Touch of Serenity. Employment prospects include working in salons, spas, health clubs and cruise ships, to self-employment, or as a representative or trainer for brands such as Dermalogica, Clarins or Elemis.

What do I need to join?

4 GCSEs at grade D/3 or higher including maths or English OR a Level 1 related qualification PLUS grade D/3 or higher in maths or English.

You will also need to enjoy working with people, as well as an enthusiasm for the subject and a commitment to study.

General Information

This course will provide you with a solid introduction to the art of applying a range of make-up techniques and creative hair design. You will undertake a significant amount of research and showcase your designs and skills.

Who is this course for?

The course is suitable for school leavers and adults who would like a career in make-up artistry, or who are progressing from Level 1 Introduction to Hair & Beauty.
