Health & Social CareHealth & Social Care at LMC

Choosing to study in the Health and Social Care department at Lancaster & Morecambe College will give you access to exciting programmes of study across all levels, taught by well qualified tutors with industry experience. Progression through the qualifications levels is encouraged and supported. You will undertake work experience as part of your course, in a variety of settings, where you can apply what you have learnt in the classroom to practical experiences. The Health and Social Care sector is one of the largest employers in the local area so the courses can lead to fantastic job opportunities. If you choose the Apprenticeship route, you will have access to an experienced and knowledgeable assessor throughout the work-based qualification.

Caroline Openshaw, Head of Health & Social Care

LMC works with 70 local employers to offer students practical experience in the workplace.

“College is great. The tutors are understanding and their teaching methods are creative and adapted to the student’s needs, which really benefitted me and the others in my class. The College has not only helped me grow academically but as a person too.”
