Travel & Tourism
Our travel and tourism courses are for students who enjoy working with people and have a passion for the travel industry. You will be taught by industry experts who have all had successful careers working as cabin crew, holiday representatives and travel agency managers. All our students have the opportunity to take part in visits to Manchester Airport, Blackpool Pleasure Beach and the Thomas Cook training centre.

Past students from the Travel and Tourism Diploma have chosen to specialise by progressing to become a holiday representative or to the Cabin Crew course. Career options in the travel and tourism industry include working in travel agencies, for tour operators as holiday representatives and for major UK airlines.

What do I need to join?
5 GCSEs at grade C/4 or higher including Maths and English OR a Level 2 related qualification PLUS grade C/4 or higher in BOTH Maths and English.
Entry criteria will be applied at the discretion of the course manager.
The UK tourism is one of the largest in the world. Tourism related employment accounts for 3.1 million jobs in UK. The level 3 in Travel and Tourism is a one year programme of study which enables learners to develop substantial core knowledge of the travel and tourism industry. Taught by industry experts, learners will be occupationally ready to take up employment within the travel and tourism industry upon successful completion of the course.

The course is suitable for school leavers and adults who would like to work in holiday centres, tour operators, travel agencies, tourist attractions, cruise line companies or conference events organisations.
