Apprenticeship Awards 2023

Posted: 06.10.2023

Last night, 5 October 2023, was our Annual Apprenticeship Awards to celebrate the efforts and achievements over the last year of our Apprentices, Advisors, Tutors and Employers.

Although it was typical British weather outside and the rain was really pouring down, we had a great turn out for an evening of celebrations here on campus. The night started with canapés and drinks in The Lounge before heading over to The Hexagon Student & Learning Centre for the awards ceremony.

Our canapés for the evening were designed, created and cooked by our Hospitality & Catering students and included delicacies such as Blue Cheese Arancini Balls, Beetroot Relish Cream Horns, Smoked Salmon Dill Cream Cheese and Houmous and Charred Peppers as well as many others.

Our Principal, Danny, opened the evening with a speech about his previous experiences as an apprentice himself, before passing over to Kelly Lightfoot from our Employer Engagement Team to host the evening.

We started with a look back to see what last year's Apprentice of the Year 2022 has been up to, Kate Wood, before moving onto the first award, Rising Star of the Year Award 2023

The Winner of this award was Elle Walsh with nominees including Paul Oliver, Harry Robinson and Josh Roberts.
