Important information about the proposed industrial action

We are surprised to learn that the University & College Union (UCU) has issued a press release regarding the potential for industrial action next week, when negotiations are still on going.

We have been advised that staff who are members of the UCU union may be undertaking industrial action on Wednesday 14th, Thursday 15th and Friday 16th January.

Whilst we anticipate some disruption to timetabled sessions, LMC campus will remain open throughout for students to attend exams and most scheduled classes.  Learners will be advised in advance if any of their classes are unable to go ahead.

All other College services, including buses and catering facilities, will operate as normal.  

We apologise for any inconvenience and will endeavour to minimise the impact on learning, if the action goes ahead.
