LMC gains accreditation from the UK trade body for the professional beauty industry

Posted: 15.06.2022

Lancaster & Morecambe College has become an accredited training provider of Guild Training International (GTi) courses by The Guild of Beauty; the UK trade body for the professional beauty industry.

Guild Training International (GTi) courses meet the required National Occupational Standards (NOS) and combine the flexibility of online study with expert practical classroom or salon training. All courses are fully accredited and accepted by all main UK insurance providers.

The barrier to these courses for many beauticians often comes down to location, travel and accommodation, however LMC is committed to providing accessible training to employers and professionals in the district.

Zoe Petrou, Beauty Therapy Programme Area Manager at LMC, commented:

These courses are a fantastic way for therapists to access short courses to upskill and develop as a practitioner, whilst broadening their treatment list for clients.

There is no better place to study than amongst LMC’s industry experts in The Salon on campus.

GTi courses are suitable as Continued Professional Development (CPD) to upskill qualified therapists or those working towards a regulated qualification in Beauty Therapy. Following successful completion of a GTi course, students are fully qualified to deliver the additional treatment service.

The Salon at LMC can offer bespoke GTi training packages to businesses, alongside offering individual accredited courses such as;

  • E-file
  • Classic Lashes
  • Gel Polish
  • Lash Lift & Tint
  • Ear Candling
  • Russian Lashes

To enquire, beauticians are required to register their interest with The Salon before a member of the Beauty Therapy Team responds with eligibility criteria and enrolment information.
