I am glad I did the Apprenticeship as it has helped me develop in my role. It has given me a greater understanding of being a manager and leader.
While playing video games has been a fun part of the course, so far I would say my favourite part has been the opportunity to look in-depth into the world of gaming and how the sports industry is rapidly adjusting to making video game play a key area of the industry. I’ve also enjoyed the opportunity to learn about the business side of Esports as it has given me more of a ‘behind the scenes’ insight into gaming.
I have five other members of staff and we have won Salon of the Year and Customer Service awards at the English Beauty Awards, two years in a row. I am extremely proud of my team for these awards and am proud of the career that I have built myself.
During my time at LMC I have won 3 separate awards for being the “Apprentice of the Year”, one from LMC, one from APSE and also one from Lancaster City Council.
I have significantly improved my communication and collaboration skills at LMC.
I think my biggest accomplishment has to be passing my GCSE Maths! It has opened up so many pathways into other areas that were previously out of bounds or restricted because of missing my GCSEs grades. This has definitely got to be my greatest achievements, and one that I am very proud of!
