The UK tourism industry is one of the largest in the world. Tourism related employment accounts for 3.1 million jobs in the UK.

The Level 2 Diploma in Travel and Tourism is a one year programme of study which enables students to develop core knowledge of the travel and tourism industry. This course offers a taste of the types of employment opportunities available in the travel and tourism sector. Taught by industry experts, students will build foundation knowledge of the travel and tourism industry which can be applied to many occupations.

Who is this Course for?

This course is designed for 16-18 year old and adult learners the course will include a substantial amount of careers related learning designed to support progression to the suitable next step, this could include educational trips, employability skills and employer encounters such as guest speakers. For 16-18 year old will be delivered as a study programme which includes math and English where applicable and work experience.

What progression and career opportunities will I gain?

Following successful completion of this course you could progress onto:

• Air Cabin Crew Level 2

• Level 3 Travel and Tourism

• Customer Service Apprenticeship

• Business Administration Apprenticeship

Alternatively you could progress to employment in the tourism sector. Some of the roles that our students have progressed on to are:

What are the entry requirements for the course?

4 GCSEs at grade D/3 or higher including Maths or English OR a Level 1 related qualification PLUS grade D/3 or higher in Maths or English.

Entry criteria will be applied at the discretion of the course manager.
