Mayor of Lancaster visits LMC

Posted: 21.11.2019

Councillor David Whitaker, Mayor of the City of Lancaster, visited Lancaster & Morecambe College (LMC) last week to see the amazing facilities on offer at the College, and to witness how LMC is embedded into the local community.

The Mayor met with the College’s Principal; Wes Johnson, and the Director of Apprenticeships and Employer Engagement; Charlotte Rawes, who both gave him a tour around the College showing off the industry-standard facilities available to students.

Lancaster & Morecambe College has been working with the wider community in recent months on initiatives such as The Eden Project Learning Hub, which is being established at the College for community engagement events, workshops and exhibitions about Eden Project North.

When asked how the visit advanced, Charlotte Rawes commented:

The Mayor was impressed with our range of curriculum and the investment the College has made into its facilities.
