Top Marks! 100% pass rate for LMC’s first T Level cohort graduates

Posted: 14.08.2025

LMC students, parents and staff were all celebrating today, as the College’s first cohort of T Level learners received their results – and achieved an impressive 100% pass rate!

There was a tense atmosphere as the students arrived on campus at 10am to pick up their results, but as they started opening the envelopes the nerves were soon replaced with shouts of joy, hugs and laughter. Not only had all of the students successfully passed, many of them achieved top results, with an impressive 92% of the Education & Early Years cohort gaining a Merit or Distinction.

Libby Haughton, the Programme Manager for T Levels, was understandably thrilled with the results.

We are absolutely delighted to celebrate the outstanding achievements of our first cohort of T Level learners. These fantastic results are a true testament to the hard work and dedication of our students, and to the brilliant staff here at LMC who have supported them every step of the way. Our learners are now moving on to bright futures; whether entering the world of work or progressing into higher education, they are well-equipped to excel in their chosen careers. We are equally excited to welcome our new cohort of T Level students this September and look forward to supporting them on their journey to success

T levels are the technical alternative to A levels. Developed in collaboration with employers, they offer a blend of practical and academic learning, alongside extensive on-the-job experience, with students spending a minimum of 315 hours on industrial placement. LMC introduced T Levels in Health, Education & Early Years and Business & Project Management in 2023, so this year’s graduates were the first to complete the 2-year qualification. This morning many of them were accompanied by family and friends, who all helped celebrate the fantastic achievements.

Charlotte Rawes, LMC’s Vice Principal Progress & Performance, was equally delighted as she watched the students open their envelopes.

We are incredibly proud of our T Level students, whose outstanding results reflect their dedication, resilience, work ethic and talent. A number of them achieved Distinctions, which is the equivalent of three As at A Level, and all students have successfully secured places at university or in employment. These results mark a significant milestone for them - and for the whole College. Their success is also a testament to the passion and expertise of our teaching teams, the support of our industry partners, and the transformative power of T Levels in preparing young people for their future careers

In 2024, LMC expanded its T Level provision to include Engineering and Animal Science, and in September 2026 will be offering new T Levels in Electrotechnical Engineering, Digital Support & Security, and Design Surveying & Planning for Construction. Applications for the new courses will open in October 2025.
