New Donation from SafeGuard Clothing
In line with Lancaster & Morecambe College’s high quality vocational education at all levels in a friendly and supportive environment, the College is pleased to announce a new donation from SafeGuard Clothing. The international manufacturer and distributor of premium body armour will donate one of its industry-leading bullet proof vests to the Public Service faculty. It will be used for role-play and detailed technical analysis.
Lancaster and Morecambe College will be focusing on enhancing ours training methods with equipment from an industry leader to improve student experience in the classroom. This donation from SafeGuard supplements it with the best practical experience possible. First-hand experience with modern body armour better prepares students in the Public Service course for the line of work they have chosen.
Thomas Bowman, speaking on behalf of SafeGuard Clothing, said: “We believe access to body armour should be made available for all students in Public Services courses. Safeguard’s applied industry based model in our manufacturing process is achieved through continuous and strong collaborations with the Police, MOD, Fire Service and Ambulance services. This allows us to really enhance the quality of our tactical vests.”

SafeGuard Clothing is a worldwide manufacturer and distributor of body armour and is involved in research and development for new materials to enhance the wearability of protective body armour for front line services. First-hand experience of using such police, military and security personnel level professional equipment will give students at Lancaster and Morecambe College a unique opportunity to get used to the sort of protective clothing they will use when they embark upon their chosen careers.
