Choosing to study in the Travel & Tourism department at Lancaster & Morecambe College will give you access to exciting programmes of learning, taught by extremely well qualified tutors with industry experience who have all had successful careers working as cabin crew, holiday representatives and travel agency managers. Our Travel & Tourism courses are for students who enjoy working with people and have a passion for the travel industry. You will undertake work experience as part of your course, in a variety of settings, where you can apply what you have learnt in the classroom to practical experiences. There are excellent enrichment opportunities available, including industry guest speakers, community events, and educational visits. Teaches: Hospitality & Catering

My favourite aspect of my role is seeing learners who struggle to believe in themselves when they first begin their journey at LMC, but eventually realise that they are very capable. It is a lightbulb moment when they realise they can be or do anything they want to. Learners walk through our gates unsure of themselves and sometimes struggle to believe in their abilities, but by the end of their journey they walk out of LMC confident and ready to take on the world.

Teaches: Plastering

Be prepared to work hard and be challenged. The more you put in, the more you will get out of the course. It's a rewarding experience as you can clearly see your skills develop. There is also a great demand for skilled plasterers and the potential for good earnings, so why not give it a go?

Teaches: Beauty Therapy

I would say come to College, study Beauty Therapy, be pampered, pamper clients, but be prepared to work hard for the qualifications to get far in the industry. It's a very rewarding career to go into, putting smiles on clients faces and giving them a new found confidence.
