The course is giving me a better understanding of the processes I complete at work and the reasons behind them. I also feel I have gained new skills which allow me to undertake more tasks.

Terri started studying AAT Accounting Level 2 at Lancaster & Morecambe College in September 2025 and hopes to progress onto the AAT Accounting Level 3 course next.

After researching other local colleges and online courses, Terri decided on LMC after speaking with the tutors and learning more about the welcoming and supportive atmosphere. Since starting the course, she has enjoyed developing new skills and building her knowledge of accounting while continuing to work.

I have really enjoyed learning new skills and challenging myself. The course is really interesting and we cover new topics each week, so I’m always learning something new. I’ve found everything I’ve learnt really useful in my job.

Working in accounting involves using digital finance and accounting systems to collate and input data, while carrying out a range of financial and bookkeeping duties. The course covers key topics relevant to the industry, including bookkeeping, principles of costing and the business environment.

The course is giving me a better understanding of the processes I complete at work and the reasons behind them. I also feel I have gained new skills which allow me to undertake more tasks.

This was the first course Terri had studied since 2002, so she was understandably nervous about returning to education. She says it has been one of her biggest accomplishments at College so far and is really pleased with how her exams are going.

I would recommend AAT Accounting to anyone considering it. The course is really interesting and the tutor support is so helpful. If you are struggling or just need extra help, you know you can always contact your tutor. After this I intend to go on to study Level 3 to further my career.
