This course is great with brilliant tutors who are supportive and helpful, their knowledge is immense and they are always willing to support.

Toni started studying at Lancaster and Morecambe College in 2025 so that she could follow her dreams of becoming a children's nurse.

We asked Toni why she chose to study the Access to HE course at LMC, and she said...

I wanted to begin to begin a career in nursing, which needed a higher education certification, and thankfully there was a local college!

Toni told us that some of the most enjoyable parts of her course were learning the interesting subjects alongside the support of great tutors. She also learnt the key skills of referencing, reading published materials and pulling out relevant information which further supported her education at a higher level.

We asked Toni, how did the course benefit you professionally and she said...

The course gave me the confidence and knowledge I needed to return to education. I also made some great friendships.

Toni now works in a children's home, caring for vulnerable children and supporting their needs.

We asked Toni what she'd say to someone who was thinking about doing the course, and she said...

This course is great with brilliant tutors who are supportive and helpful. Their knowledge is immense and they are always willing to support. It is hard work, however with the commitment and dedication, the outcome of the achievement is worth all the stress and hardwork.

Toni’s biggest achievement since leaving college is getting into university and preparing for her studies whilst juggling family life.
