Stacy first came to Lancaster and Morecambe College in 2006 to study Hairdressing after high school, and then moved onto our Access to Higher Education course in 2025.

I wanted to go on to University or an Apprentice degree but I left school with no GCSEs or A Levels. I chose to do the Access course for a pathway to higher education.

Stacy now runs a barbershop, being responsible for clients’ details and day to day runnings of a business. We asked her what aspects of her course benefitted this, to which she said…
