Choosing to study in the Child Education department at Lancaster & Morecambe College will give you access to exciting programmes of learning, taught by extremely well qualified tutors with industry experience. Progression through the qualifications levels is encouraged and supported. You will undertake a vast amount of work experience as part of your course, in a variety of settings, where you can apply what you have learnt in the classroom to practical experiences. This includes local nursery settings, primary schools, specialist schools and child-minders. The Child Education sector is one of the largest employers in the local area so the course can lead to fantastic job opportunities, including early years educators. Students can also progress onto University, to careers including Primary Teaching. There are excellent enrichment opportunities available, including visits to universities, higher education taster days and master classes, industry guest speakers, community events, and educational visits. We look forward to welcoming you to the Child Education department.
