Parent & Carer Information Evenings
Parents and carers play a key role in helping young people to take their next steps in education, and we are here to support you with that. Our Parent Information Evenings are designed to give parents a clear understanding of what support is available in College, and how they can best support their young person, while also showcasing the wide range of opportunities available at Lancaster & Morecambe College.
Event Overview
These evenings are specially tailored for parents and carers of brand-new applicants to College. You’ll hear talks from our support teams, including:
- Learning Support: How we can assist students with additional needs.
- Pastoral & Safeguarding: How we ensure every young person is safe and supported.
- Student Money: Advice on financial support, transport, and help with applications.
- Careers Team: How we enable students to progress into employment and further study.
Alongside talks from our support services, we’ll also be joined by a university and employer to talk about opportunities during and after your young person’s time with us. You will have also have chance to speak with each support service, university, and employer on a 1:1 basis to ask any specific questions you may have.
