We offer Gas Safe accredited training courses in Natural Gas, LPG and Water Regulations for plumbing and heating engineers. We cover North Lancashire and South Cumbria, and are located 5 minutes off J34, M6.
The Salon
The fully equipped salons offer a variety of facial and body treatments and a range of hairdressing services The Salon is open to students and public, and provides a real work environment for our students.

We have several well appointed rooms for hire, our meeting and training rooms are designed for business, with none of the distractions normally associated with hotels. The cost is as attractive as the flexibility, simply book the time you need by the hour, half day or day.
The Bay Restaurant
Our award-winning restaurant with its contemporary interior, first class service and mouth-watering menu offers an outstanding real work environment for our Hospitality and Catering students, as well as being a fantastic place to eat out.

The most satisfying part of my job role is inspiring students to have the confidence to become beauty therapists and work in their dream careers.
Teaching is my favourite part of the role, I love being able to help people reach that lightbulb moment in class! I also enjoy being able to inspire the next generation of Residential workers.
Welding particularly is like lego for adults – its great fun making things. Whereas Engineering will teach you why things are made the way they are and a combination of both will give you the skills to make almost anything you can think of! Why not give it a go!
I truly believe the skills developed as a Teaching Assistant are incredibly valuable and transferable, whether you want to progress within education or explore a different pathway in the future; it is a career where you can continue to learn, develop and grow.
My favourite part of working at LMC is the friendly and supportive environment. Everyone works together as a team, doing their best to help and support the next generation as they develop their skills and progress into the workplace.
I would say come to College, study Beauty Therapy, be pampered, pamper clients, but be prepared to work hard for the qualifications to get far in the industry. It's a very rewarding career to go into, putting smiles on clients faces and giving them a new found confidence.
Be prepared to work hard and be challenged. The more you put in, the more you will get out of the course. It's a rewarding experience as you can clearly see your skills develop. There is also a great demand for skilled plasterers and the potential for good earnings, so why not give it a go?
If you want the opportunity to use and develop practical skills, learn about an accessible vocational area, have fun, work hard and deal with the public then this is the course for you. LMC is a great community asset and I think the local district are lucky to have such a modern, flexible and engaging place of education.
It’s really difficult to state just one thing I love about working at Lancaster & Morecambe College because there are so many! I really wanted to work here because the college has a fantastic reputation. Whether you're confident that you want to be a plumber/gas engineer, think you want to try your hand at it, or have no idea what you want to do - plumbing or gas work is an excellent asset for anyone to have. They're both great career options, loved by foreign countries if you're looking to travel, or at the very least will save you some money on a plumber in the future no matter what you end up doing!
In my role as a course tutor I’m responsible for ensuring that my students develop in many areas, and not just Hairdressing. I like to encourage my students to improve their well-being as well as support them with their personal development and learning journey, to gain the knowledge to be successful within their course to achieve the qualifications they need to progress in the industry.
We have a very knowledgeable and dedicated team from different areas of the animal industry. We offer a range of courses in Animal Studies at different levels to cater for a wide range of students. Practically, you will work with a range of animals on site, spend time in our laboratories and hone your skills further during independent work-related experience. Working with animals can be a fun and rewarding career but it does involve hard graft and dedication!
Try to achieve the best grades you can. As a qualified Carpenter or Joiner, you will have the opportunity to work anywhere in the world.
I enjoy being part of the team and thinking of new ways to support local businesses in realising their potential. Watching learners transition from a one-day course to gaining qualifications motivates me to continue teaching at LMC.
