Chris started working at Lancaster & Morecambe College in November 2015 after seeing a job vacancy to teach welding on part time courses. He was then offered a contract to teach the full time and apprenticeship courses.
Before joining the team, Chris worked for various companies, honing his fabrication and welding skills. Working in both workshops and on site, he is now able to share everything he learned with our students.
I worked for various companies fabricating and welding pipework. Throughout my career, I have been able to harness my skills in various envirnoments.
When asked what his favourite part of working at LMC is, Chris said:
My favourite part about my job has to be being able to help and train students of all ages, supplying them with the skills they need to go on and gain employment within the trade.

The Business Administration Apprenticeship at LMC gives you a plethora of transferable skills which can lead you to your chosen career pathway. It teaches you the foundations of customer service, information and communication technology (ICT), administration, business, and soft skills such as effective communication, teamwork and organisational skills. It is the perfect starting point to your career!
My favourite part of this role is working with such an amazing team here at Lancaster & Morecambe College, and also being able to pass on my industry knowledge to all my students and support them in their journey to becoming a Beauty Therapist.
I really enjoy being part of the LMC Beauty Team and working within the department. Watching my students grow and develop their ideas and skillsets week on week is a really exciting part of my role, particularly when I can see them challenging themselves to get creative and try out new and different ideas.
