The AAT Level 2 Certificate in Accountancy would suit you if you are looking to build a career in finance, or are looking to expand and develop your foundation knowledge and skills. This course will suit you those with some degree of accounts knowledge and experience within a financial role, or those who work within accounts and would like a formal qualification. The AAT Level 2 Certificate in Accountancy is the first step on the ladder toward a successful future in accountancy and finance.

Entry Requirements

To study this course you will need 4 GCSEs at grade C/4 or above, including English and Maths OR a Level 2 related qualification.

Course Activities

To complete the AAT Level 2 Certificate in Accountancy you will study five mandatory units:

  • Bookkeeping Controls

  • Elements of Costing

  • Using Accounting Software

  • Work Effectively in Finance

  • Bookkeeping Transactions

These units are designed to give you an understanding of the essential accounting processes necessary for an entry level role in accountancy.

Progression Opportunities

As an AAT learner, you will build your finance skills, increase earning potential, and build better career opportunities. Accountancy skills are high in demand by both commercial and industrial organisations, including specialist Accountancy firms.

Upon completion of this Part Time course you may choose to progress onto the Level 3 Accounting course, start one of our Accounting Apprenticeships, or alternatively, may start an entry level role in Accounting or Bookkeeping.
