The students had prepared three courses of classic Chinese dishes, including starters such as Barbeque Ribs, Chicken and Sweetcorn Soup and Prawn Toast, main meals including Pork Balls in Sweet and Sour Sauce, Beef in Green Pepper and Black Bean Sauce, and Banana Fritters for dessert.

The restaurant had been themed in a Chinese style to depict traditional Chinese New Year celebrations. The students had designed and made all the decoration and laid the tables which not only looked elegant, but gave the students the opportunity to practise their hospitality skills.

Customer Becky commented, “The food was amazing. It was fantastic to have the range of delicious Chinese food, but knowing that it was cooked fresh without additives, like MSG. I’ve been to Coulson’s before and the food was great then as well. It’s fantastic to see a wide range of menus and delicacies".
