This qualification provies a good introduction to the subject of mental health, the various illnesses and treatment routes avilable to sufferers, and would provide a good basis for further learning in the area leading to a career in mental health care. This course is available fully online.

What does the course involve?

This qualification consists of one unit which is split into 4 manageable sections:

  • Section One - What is meant by mental health.

  • Section Two - The social and personal effects of mental health.

  • Section Three - The responses to mental health issues.

  • Section Four - Cultural diversity in relation to mental health issues.

How will I be Assessed?

You will be assessed by a fully qualified personal tutor, who will assess your work using the online learning platform.

When can I start?

This course is Distance Learning and has flexible start dates so you can start at any time throughout the year.

What qualification will I get?

On completion of this course you will receive a Level 1 Award in Mental Health Awareness, from TQUK.
