Choosing to study in the Art and Design department will give you access to fantastic industry standard facilities and you’ll be working with a team of specialist designers and artists as tutors. So, whether you think your future is as a photographer, film-maker, game or web designer, or you are interested in graphics, illustration, fine art, furniture or fashion, we can start you on that career pathway. Our students produce really creative work, which allows them to build exciting portfolios that demonstrate a wide set of skills. We encourage our students to be really ambitious about their future careers by applying to highly prestigious universities.

Past students have gone on to degree courses in interior & spatial design, illustration, photography and silversmithing & jewellery.

Destinations include Chelsea College of Art, Edinburgh College of Art, Falmouth University, Glasgow School of Art, University of York and University of Northumbria.

Trip to EGX Expo

Students Commemorate Battle of the Somme

July 13, 2016

Staff and students at Lancaster & Morecambe College held a remembrance service on Friday, 1 July to mark the centenary of the Battle of the Somme. The commemoration event was held to remember those young men, of college age, that went into battle and sadly did not return home. It was a moving event, with members of The Royal British Legion; Morecambe and Heysham Branch, and The Royal Marines being in attendance.

Students Exhibit at Lancaster University

Students from Creative Digital Media Level 3 were today busy preparing an exhibition at Lancaster University's Peter Scott Gallery as part of the OPEN2016 programme. 'What Does Politics Mean to You?' is an exhibition of new works by final year BTEC Level 3 Creative Media (Film and TV) students. The works are in response to Lancaster Arts' recent 'Festival of Questions'.
