We offer Gas Safe accredited training courses in Natural Gas, LPG and Water Regulations for plumbing and heating engineers. We cover North Lancashire and South Cumbria, and are located 5 minutes off J34, M6.
The Salon
The fully equipped salons offer a variety of facial and body treatments and a range of hairdressing services The Salon is open to students and public, and provides a real work environment for our students.
Employer Hub
We have several well appointed rooms for hire, our meeting and training rooms are designed for business, with none of the distractions normally associated with hotels. The cost is as attractive as the flexibility, simply book the time you need by the hour, half day or day.
The Bay Restaurant
Our award-winning restaurant with its contemporary interior, first class service and mouth-watering menu offers an outstanding real work environment for our Hospitality and Catering students, as well as being a fantastic place to eat out.

Your Industry Professional Tutors
My favourite part of my role is being able to recall my industry knowledge and then passing it onto my students. The knowledge I have from working in the industry gives the students a better understanding of real life situations and how to transfer their skills into future careers.

Industry specific apprenticeships are a great way to learn new skills and knowledge, achieve a recognised qualification and earn a wage. Customer service is the corner stone of every successful business, and courses at LMC will help you identify, improve and introduce these skills successfully.
My favourite part of this role is working with such an amazing team here at Lancaster & Morecambe College, and also being able to pass on my industry knowledge to all my students and support them in their journey to becoming a Beauty Therapist.
Even though I only work with learners through distance learning, it is possible to establish a rapport with a learner that has been assigned to me – it is wonderful to help a person develop their confidence through the many distance learning awards we have on offer and to watch their work go from strength to strength.
Whether you're confident that you want to be a plumber/gas engineer, think you want to try your hand at it, or have no idea what you want to do - plumbing or gas work is an excellent asset for anyone to have. They're both great career options, loved by foreign countries if you're looking to travel, or at the very least will save you some money on a plumber in the future no matter what you end up doing!
In my role as a course tutor I’m responsible for ensuring that my students develop in many areas, and not just Hairdressing. I like to encourage my students to improve their well-being as well as support them with their personal development and learning journey, to gain the knowledge to be successful within their course to achieve the qualifications they need to progress in the industry.
Try to achieve the best grades you can. As a qualified Carpenter or Joiner, you will have the opportunity to work anywhere in the world.
If you want the opportunity to use and develop practical skills, learn about an accessible vocational area, have fun, work hard and deal with the public then this is the course for you. LMC is a great community asset and I think the local district are lucky to have such a modern, flexible and engaging place of education.
All you need to start the Supported Internship course is enthusiasm, motivation, energy and determination. As the course progresses, you will develop your employability, personal and social skills, which will enable you to increase your independence and develop your confidence and self-esteem. All of these new skills will ensure that you are better prepared to enter the workplace as a skilled and effective employee.
I love working with such keen and dedicated staff and students. I also like how every day is different because we attract such a wide range of students including year 11 from local high schools aged 16-18 who apply to the full time courses, to adult students who attend the part time courses. It’s nice to work with so many people from all different backgrounds and cultures who share a passion for cooking.
I would recommend LMC as a fantastic place to study sport and continue your development and interests in football. Your studies link to your football development as much as possible, helping you gain the knowledge, skills and experiences to pursue a career in sport in the future.
Welding particularly is like lego for adults – its great fun making things. Whereas Engineering will teach you why things are made the way they are and a combination of both will give you the skills to make almost anything you can think of! Why not give it a go!
I enjoy being part of the team and thinking of new ways to support local businesses in realising their potential. Watching learners transition from a one-day course to gaining qualifications motivates me to continue teaching at LMC.
My favourite part of my job is helping people achieve their GCSE English, a key qualification which will open doors for them in the future.
