Lead Technician

You will have practical working experience within an Engineering or Construction background and you will lead a team of technicians in facilitating the safe and smooth operation of learning environments (primarily construction workshops and kitchens) in the curriculum areas of Construction and Hospitality & Catering and you will support the Estates team through the flexible deployment of staff across the College Estates and Catering facilities.

Lecturer in Electrical Installations

Job Ref: BS 1077

Salary up to £29,157 depending on qualifications and experience plus £3000 Shortage Skills Allowance
37 hours per week

Working in our state of the art Construction and Engineering centre in a supportive team, you will have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in the Electrical industry with an in-depth knowledge of all types of electrical installations and containment systems. No prior teaching experience or qualification is required; we offer a comprehensive in-house training package including teaching qualification and assessor qualification. We would expect you to have a keen interest in the development of young people entering the profession and be able to demonstrate strong communication skills and teaching potential.

Part Time Hourly Paid Lecturers in Our Visual & Creative Studies Department

Up to £22.30 per hour depending on qualifications and experience
Hours may be substantial dependent on student numbers

Three positions:

  1. Creative Digital Media - with broad based digital media (Film/TV/Media) skillset but specific interest in moving image production and editing.
  1. Art & Design - with a broad based practical skill set with specific interest in design and/or photography.
  1. Computing - general computing skills across web, IT and computer systems and a range of digital applications.
