In summer 2020, and in response to the burgeoning Covid-crisis, we launched our "One Year Offer" aimed at Year 14 students, giving them an additional FREE* year of study and the chance to gain an extra 32*-84 UCAS points.
If you are currently in Year 13 and are studying Level 3/ A-Level qualifications, but are unsure of your next steps, this will give you the opportunity to study an additional Level 3 course for one year, fully-funded, across a range of subjects.
We have a huge number of courses available, so you can explore a whole new subject area and gain key skills and experience.
*eligibility criteria - you must have completed a Level 3 course and be under 19 on 31st August 2022.
If you don't know where you want to go to university, and obviously because of the virus we don't know what's going to happen with the universities at the moment... I would 100% tell you to consider coming to College for an extra year. It is only one year, and it gets you so many more UCAS points!

All you need to start the Supported Internship course is enthusiasm, motivation, energy and determination. As the course progresses, you will develop your employability, personal and social skills, which will enable you to increase your independence and develop your confidence and self-esteem. All of these new skills will ensure that you are better prepared to enter the workplace as a skilled and effective employee.
My favourite part of working at Lancaster & Morecambe college is watching students progress and supporting them with their learning. I also love knowing they are learning within a hairdressing environment and being able to see them develop their skills and knowledge in hairdressing.
I enjoy being part of the team and thinking of new ways to support local businesses in realising their potential. Watching learners transition from a one-day course to gaining qualifications motivates me to continue teaching at LMC.
My favourite part of my role is being able to recall my industry knowledge and then passing it onto my students. The knowledge I have from working in the industry gives the students a better understanding of real life situations and how to transfer their skills into future careers.
My favourite part of the role is guiding my students through the more practical aspects of Forensic Science, especially latent fingerprint collection and evidence handling. I enjoy watching them develop their confidence and skills in these techniques
I love working with people of all ages and backgrounds and seeing them make progress and achieve their qualifications, sometimes in “small” ways, such as remembering how to do a written multiplication.
