During this qualification you will master more complex accounting disciplines including financial processes, advanced bookkeeping, final accounts and ethical practices for accountants.

If you successfully complete this qualification, you can apply for AAT associate bookkeeping membership and achieve professional AATQB status.

Entry Requirements

The AAT Level 2 Certificate in Accounting or A-level Accounting are the most appropriate qualifications to study before progressing onto this course.

Course Activities

To complete the AAT Level 3 Advanced Diploma in Accountancy, you will study the following units:

  • Advanced Bookkeeping

  • Final Accounts Preparation

  • Management Accounting: Costing

  • Indirect Tax

  • Ethics for Accountants

  • Spreadsheets for Accountants

You will also complete an Advanced Diploma Synoptic Assessment which will require you to apply the knowledge and skills you have gained in a workplace context.

Progression Opportunities

As an AAT learner, you will build your finance skills, increase earning potential, and build better career opportunities. Accountancy skills are high in demand by both commercial and industrial organisations, including specialist Accountancy firms.

Upon completion of this Part Time course you may choose to progress onto the Accountancy Level 4 course, start one of our Accounting Apprenticeships, or alternatively, may start a full time role in Accounting or Bookkeeping.

This diploma can lead onto employment in a variety of roles such as:

  • Accounts Payable and Expenses Supervisor

  • Accounts Payable Clerk

  • Audit Trainee

  • Bookkeeper
