An Apprenticeship is a perfect choice if you want to continue your studies and develop your skills, knowledge and behaviours in a specific industry, while also earning a salary in full-time employment; kickstarting your long-term career path.

During your Apprenticeship you will develop excellent customer service skills and behaviours as well as product and/or service knowledge when delivering to your customers. You will provide service in line with the organisation’s customer service standards and strategy and within appropriate regulatory requirements. Your customer interactions may cover a wide range of situations and can include; face-to-face, telephone, post, email, text and social media.

This Apprenticeship will take a minimum of 15 months to complete, giving you the time necessary to develop the skills, knowledge and behaviours needed in your chosen job role.

Entry Requirements

To study this Apprenticeship you must:

  • Have an enthusiasm for the subject area

  • Enjoy working with other people

  • Have a commitment to study

  • Be able to work independently

You must also have 4 GCSEs at grade D/3 or higher including Maths or English OR a related Level 1 qualification PLUS grade D/3 or higher in Maths or English.

Course Activities

In addition to your work based training, we offer a Skills Development Academy to give apprentices the opportunity to gain further knowledge and confidence. This gives you the opportunity to meet other apprentices, socialise on campus and gain additional industry insight from guest speakers.

The on-programme learning prepares the apprentice for an End Point Assessment featuring a practical observation, professional discussion and the opportunity to showcase their best work from the on-programme learning. Grade outcomes are fail, pass and distinction, this ensures the candidate is stretched to reach their full potential.

You will be required to spend 30 hours per week in the workplace and study sessions in College are optional to enhance your knowledge, skills and behaviours. On completion of this course you will have a Level 2 certificate as a Customer Service Practitioner.

Progression Opportunities

This course prepares learners for further training and can lead on to further study at College such as the Customer Service Specialist Level 3 Apprenticeship.

Learners may alternatively choose to move on to further full time work within Customer Service, exciting roles include:
