We offer Gas Safe accredited training courses in Natural Gas, LPG and Water Regulations for plumbing and heating engineers. We cover North Lancashire and South Cumbria, and are located 5 minutes off J34, M6.
The Salon
The fully equipped salons offer a variety of facial and body treatments and a range of hairdressing services The Salon is open to students and public, and provides a real work environment for our students.
Employer Hub
We have several well appointed rooms for hire, our meeting and training rooms are designed for business, with none of the distractions normally associated with hotels. The cost is as attractive as the flexibility, simply book the time you need by the hour, half day or day.
The Bay Restaurant
Our award-winning restaurant with its contemporary interior, first class service and mouth-watering menu offers an outstanding real work environment for our Hospitality and Catering students, as well as being a fantastic place to eat out.

My favourite part of my role is helping my students take the first step towards fulfilling their ambitions to go to university and, eventually, progressing into their dream careers.
I love working with such keen and dedicated staff and students. I also like how every day is different because we attract such a wide range of students including year 11 from local high schools aged 16-18 who apply to the full time courses, to adult students who attend the part time courses. It’s nice to work with so many people from all different backgrounds and cultures who share a passion for cooking.
My favourite part of working at Lancaster & Morecambe college is watching students progress and supporting them with their learning. I also love knowing they are learning within a hairdressing environment and being able to see them develop their skills and knowledge in hairdressing.
Industry specific apprenticeships are a great way to learn new skills and knowledge, achieve a recognised qualification and earn a wage. Customer service is the corner stone of every successful business, and courses at LMC will help you identify, improve and introduce these skills successfully.
We have a very knowledgeable and dedicated team from different areas of the animal industry. We offer a range of courses in Animal Studies at different levels to cater for a wide range of students. Practically, you will work with a range of animals on site, spend time in our laboratories and hone your skills further during independent work-related experience. Working with animals can be a fun and rewarding career but it does involve hard graft and dedication!
I enjoy sharing my knowledge and experience of animals with students and seeing a learners journey as they make progress. The best part of teaching the course would definitely be the experience we offer learners, it's a unique and hands on way of developing their knowledge of working with animals.
My favourite part of this role is working with such an amazing team here at Lancaster & Morecambe College, and also being able to pass on my industry knowledge to all my students and support them in their journey to becoming a Beauty Therapist.
I love working with people of all ages and backgrounds and seeing them make progress and achieve their qualifications, sometimes in “small” ways, such as remembering how to do a written multiplication.
I would say come to College, study Beauty Therapy, be pampered, pamper clients, but be prepared to work hard for the qualifications to get far in the industry. It's a very rewarding career to go into, putting smiles on clients faces and giving them a new found confidence.
I’ve seen first hand how learners from all backgrounds thrive here at College, and it’s amazing to watch their confidence grow as they realise what they’re capable of. Education really can open doors, and LMC is a great place to start that journey.
My favourite part of the role is guiding my students through the more practical aspects of Forensic Science, especially latent fingerprint collection and evidence handling. I enjoy watching them develop their confidence and skills in these techniques
If you are interested in working with animals, this is a great course for you! As not only do you gain the knowledge and practical skills to work with animals, but you also gain the employability skills to be able to work in teams and work within the industry. It's important to remember that jobs in the animal industry are not just about working with animals, you need to have the skills to deal with people too!
