The LMC Alumni is a network of people who have successfully gained a qualification from Lancaster & Morecambe College. Through the Alumni you will be kept up to date with what’s happening at College, news about all the latest professional courses, access to the brand new state-of-the-art facilities on the College campus plus many discounts on College services and local businesses.

I hope to get a job in the industry - I volunteer at Blackpool Transport on a Monday and Tuesday, and hope to gain a job in the maintenance workshop working on the trams which run along Blackpool’s promenade.


Is this the first course you have done at LMC?
No, I completed the Level 2 Vehicle Fitting Operations first and then applied for the Fabrication & Welding course.

What are the best things about your course?
I really enjoy the practical work.

Why did you choose your course?
Having completed the Vehicle Operation course with Lancaster Training Services, I wanted to improve my practical skills and build on what I had already learned.

Why did you choose Lancaster & Morecambe College?
I chose LMC as the tutors are very supportive and friendly.

What would you say to someone who was thinking about doing the course?
Go for it, you won’t regret it!

What has been your biggest accomplishment whilst studying at LMC?
My biggest achievement has been learning how to successfully weld using the MMA and MIG processes.

What do you hope to do when you’ve completed this course?
