What are the best things about your course?
It is very hands on and practical, I’m not very academic and have a very practical way of thinking, so the way this course is run works well for me.

Why did you choose your course?
It was the only thing that I was good at at school and I enjoyed it. Lessons are more hands on at college and I’m taught the theory as well as the practical side which is important for my learning.

Why did you choose Lancaster & Morecambe College?
I looked at other colleges such as Kendal and Myerscough, but my brother is at LMC on a Fabrication & Welding course and is having a good experience here.

What would you say to someone who was thinking about doing the course?
If you like to do a job from start to finish that you can be proud of, then go for it!

What has been your biggest accomplishment whilst studying at LMC?
I’ve become better at bricklaying and am proud of what I have achieved, whilst I’m also enjoying it here at college.

What do you hope to do when you’ve completed this course?
To pass the Multi Skills and progress on to the Level 2 Property Maintenance course in September, where I’ll learn a variety of skills from other areas within the building trade such as carpentry, plumbing, plastering and electrical, so that I can become a better all round Apprentice.
