If you’re serious about a career in the media industry then this is the course for you. It will provide you with a well-rounded skill set that you can then take with you on your next steps, whether that be in the working environment or university.

What have you done since leaving Lancaster & Morecambe College?
Once I completed my course at LMC I continued my studies at Teesside University, where I studied computer animation and visual effects. From there I was offered a position at Double Negative (Dneg) as a runner where I started my training in all things VFX. I’ve been at Dneg now for a little over 5 years working my way up as matchmove artist, matchmove supervisor, layout artist and eventually to where I am now as one of the senior layout artist here at Dneg. Through my career so far I’ve been able to work on such movies as Star Trek, Avengers, Wonder Women, Venom and Black Panther to name a few.

What is your favourite thing about your job?
I would say my favourite thing about my job is working with some of the most talented artists in the world on some the film industry’s biggest blockbuster movies. Even though it’s extremely hard to avoid spoilers.

Anything else you would like to tell us?
