I chose the course because of my previous experiences with welding. It was the closest thing to my previous apprenticeship.


Is this the first course you have done at LMC?
Yes because I previously worked at Plastech, Morecambe, as a window fitter apprentice which finished. My job consisted of welding frames and fitting windows.

What are the best things about your course?
I enjoy welding and just the general practical side of the course.

Why did you choose your course?
I chose the course because of my previous experiences with welding. It was the closest thing to my previous apprenticeship.

Why did you choose Lancaster & Morecambe College?
LMC is the closest college to home.

What would you say to someone who was thinking about doing the course?
Do it! You won’t regret it.

What has been your biggest accomplishment whilst studying at LMC?
My biggest accomplishment is finishing the course and improving my welding skills.

What do you hope to do when you’ve completed this course?
I hope to do welding as a career and I might do a Level 2 apprenticeship.
