My tutor and the friends I have made along the way have been a big support. Tara, who is my tutor, puts her all into every lesson we have and never fails to amaze not only me but the other students on the course. Seeing her commitment makes me want to come to College even more because it shows how dedicated she is in helping us succeed and make the most of the skills we have learned.

Abigal started the Forensic Science Level 3 course at LMC because it’s her favourite subject and one day she'd like to pursue her dream career in forensic science. Abigal values the welcoming, focused environment and has gained practical skills such as fingerprint collection. With the support from her tutor and friends, she aims to go to university and pursue a career in forensic science industry.

Ssince my first day at LMC, I have felt nothing but welcomed, everyone is so nice around college, and the atmosphere is incredibly different from high school in the best way possible. The environment is calm, respectful, and much more focused, compared to my previous experiences at school. Considering I’ve only been at college since September, the change in environment has been better than I ever expected, and I feel very comfortable and safe on campus.

I chose to study my course specifically at LMC because it’s my dream course, and LMC is local to me, which makes it easier for me to learn and not to have to worry about travelling far.

Abigal says she has learned forensic procedures such as fingerprint collection, footprint casting, and more. She explains that this course benefits her professionally by providing skills she can use in the workplace after pursuing further education once she completes the Level 3 course.

My friends also make my time better. Although I have only met them this year, I feel very comfortable around them and am not afraid to show my true self.

Her biggest accomplishment so far at College has been pushing herself out of her comfort zone and making new friends. After College, Abigail hopes to go to university and pursue her dream career in forensic science.

I would tell someone who is thinking of doing this course that they should definitely go for it! Not only is it informative, but it is also extremely fun, and the atmosphere in lessons is incredible!
