I came to LMC because of how well people spoke of it and to learn key skills like how to work professionally.

Emine first started studying Beauty Therapy Level 2 in September 2025 and has since gone from strength to strength, securing paid employment at a local beauty studio. 

We asked Emine why she chose to come to Lanacster and Morecambe College and she said...

I came to LMC because of how well people spoke of it and decided to do Beauty Therapy Level 2 because I was intrigued into seeing what the course had to offer.

Emine chose to do Beauty Therapy because she is passionate about the industry and saw that the courses here at LMC would give her a valuable insight into working in the industry whilst gaining valuable skills. She said.. 

I saw that LMC had the most to offer in this course.

Emine's favourite parts of the course have been learning about facials and other services in salons. She went on to say that the people on the course, including staff members, have really made her time with LMC enjoyable, especially Sam who has been very supportive and helpful with her work experience and exams. 

I have learnt important skills like how to work professionally and how to do my treatments to the best of my ability. I have also learnt how to be a good, caring, beauty therapist.

We asked Emine how the course has benefitted her professionally and she said...

The course helps me learn how to work in stressful environments if I need to do treatments back to back on clients. It also teaches you how you would work in a real salon. 

Emine told us her biggest achievement while on the course was securing paid employment after completing a work experience trip. DF Studio Hair & Beauty in Lancaster hosted Emine for her work experience placement and were so impressed with her hard work and dedication, that they offered her a job. They said on their Facebook, "Congratulations, Emine on successfully completing your beauty Level 2 course. This is a fantastic achievement and a testament to your hard work and commitment to professional growth. We’re thrilled to see how you’ll apply your new skills and continue elevating our client experience. Well done!".

Emine also represented LMC at a recent competition at Runshaw College alongisde other Beauty Therapy students, showcasing their skills in facials. We are so proud of Emine and what she has achieved in such a short time frame here with us and we can't wait to see her develop her skills further as she moves onto the Theatrical and Media Make Up Level 3 course.

We asked Emine, what would you say to someone who was thinking about doing the course and she said...

Absolutely do it. If you are passionate about beauty and want a career, 100% go fot it!
