The LMC Alumni is a network of people who have successfully gained a qualification from Lancaster & Morecambe College. Through the Alumni you will be kept up to date with what’s happening at College, news about all the latest professional courses, access to the brand new state-of-the-art facilities on the College campus plus many discounts on College services and local businesses.

I am a very hands on person, with my previous experience in the workplace through Fabrication & Welding I have had experience with tools and it’s something that I enjoy.


Is this the first course you have done at LMC?
No, I have done an apprenticeship in Fabrication & Welding as well as an access course.

What are the best things about your course?
The opportunity to work and learn - earning a wage and learning the skills that I need for a career in Joinery.

Why did you choose your course?

It is my local college.

What would you say to someone who was thinking about doing the course?
It is a great opportunity to get into a career, giving you an excellent experience whilst you learn.

What has been your biggest accomplishment whilst studying at LMC?
Passing my Fabrication & Welding and my access courses previously.

What do you hope to do when you’ve completed this course?
Continue as a joiner on sites and progress onto the Level 3 Carpentry and Joinery course.
