General Information

This subject is offered as a one year evening class at Higher and Foundation Levels. Learners will be able to improve their maths skills as well as their GCSE Mathematics grade.

What does the course involve?

All teaching on this course is at grades B-D. Anyone wishing to achieve higher grades will be guided in extra self study by the course tutor.
The aim of the course is:
• To develop a positive attitude to maths including confidence, enjoyment and perseverance
• To develop the ability to solve problems, present the solutions clearly, check and interpret the results
• To develop the ability to apply mathematics to other subjects
• To acquire a firm foundation for appropriate further study of mathematics and of other disciplines
All LMC students will receive tutorial support.
