What do I need to join?

You will need:
• To complete a satisfactory initial assessment in literacy skills.
• It may also be useful to have already achieved a Level 1 qualification prior to this qualification.

General Information

This qualification aims to introduce the concepts of equality and diversity in a variety of environments including society, the community and the workplace. It will also highlight how stereotyping and labelling affect individuals and outline the effects of prejudice and discrimination. The programme will allow the learner to examine rights and responsibilities, stress the importance of taking individual responsibility and action to help and support others and provide a basis for further study and/or career development.

Who is this course for?

The course is designed for any learner working or intending to work in health care or child education settings, to develop their knowledge and understanding of issues in equality and diversity.
