You should definitely apply for Public Services! The course has helped me so much, giving me a range of industry knowledge, and helping me mature, preparing me for working life.
I made amazing friends at LMC who I would never have met if I hadn’t taken Public Services. I also gained qualifications in GCSE Maths and English as well as Public Services Level 1-5. LMC opened up a window of opportunity for me and I am very thankful for that.
If you are considering a Public Services course at LMC, I would say go for it! The opportunities you receive could change your life. You’ll gain invaluable experience and a qualification that will greatly support your CV.
If you want to join one of the public services, you need to do this course! It improves your knowledge on each specific role within the public services and gives you opportunity to meet those in the industry currently.
I chose Lancaster & Morecambe College because the Public Services course was a challenge but this came with growth and opportunities. The course was a combination of physical and mental challenges. Additionally, we were given the opportunity of meaningful work experience placements, student support at this college is amazing, from providing one to one help in the classroom to offering advice, study support and financial guidance for students.
My best bit about the course was being selected for Bulgaria. This was a great life experience and it helped me gain confidence. I had a brilliant time. We also took a trip to Poland, this was another great experience the college offered. We visited a number of historic places. I also enjoyed the different topics of Public Services and the knowledge they offered.
Being able to study subjects that I have never done before, and learning about different aspects of public services as a whole, and how they affect society.
I studied here doing Public Services Level 3 and loved it so I decided to stay for another year. I initially chose LMC as it was one of the few that taught Public Services, but also because it is a really good college.
I plan to continue to my studies to become a tutor as my end goal is to go back to the Army. I will do the top up degree and extra courses to get my qualifications.
Lancaster & Morecambe College has built and developed the skills I have today. It has offered me an opportunity to use my new found confidence and leadership skills to volunteer to run a volleyball club every Tuesday with another student.
I chose this course because I would like to pursue a career in Public Services and this course has given me a really good knowledge base to start a career.
The staff at LMC were amazing and were always there to help whenever you needed them. The trips that we went on were really beneficial, especially the week with the Army at Altcar training camp. The Great Tower trip at the start of the course meant that we could all get to know each other as well. I was also lucky enough to go to Slovakia as part of the European links.
